A web notification is a message that pops up on your device. In Infolio web notifications are triggered while application is running as well as when it is in the background or closed. Such notifications allow you to opt-in to timely updates and stay up to date with real time changes.
The first time you login to Infolio app a blue notification banner at the top will ask you if you wish to turn on web notifications. You may accept those by clicking “Enable browser notifications” or if you are hesitant you may reject notifications by clicking X.
Do not worry if at any time you change your mind and want to change browser notification settings, further we will show you how to turn notification back on in different browsers.
There is an option to choose what notifications browser shows, in order to access those tap on your profile button in the lower left corner, choose Notifications and choose relevant options under Browser notifications.
Chrome
In Chrome browser next to the Infolio URL you will find a lock icon.
Once lock item clicked, following notification settings options are available: enable, block or ask (default). By choosing either of those options you will be asked to reload the page and notification preferences will be set.
Another way to enable/disable browser notification settings is through Site settings that you can access either through above mentioned lock icon or by going to Chrome options -> Settings -> Privacy and security -> Site settings -> app.infolio.co
Edge
In edge browser next to the Infolio URL you will find a lock icon.
Once lock item clicked, you can switch on/off your browser notifications. From there you can also clear all permissions given to site. By choosing either of those options you will be asked to reload the page and notification preferences will be set.
Another way to manage browser notifications is through Website permission management that you can access through lock icon mentioned above or by following this instruction:
Click the More button in the top-right corner of the window. (It looks like three dots.)
Click Settings.
Click View advanced settings
Click Manage , located beneath Notifications .
Click the switch below the website name so that it turns off.
Safari
In order to access notifications settings on Safari Browser:
Go to Safari icon on top left corner
Choose Preferences
Locate Websites on top right corner of the window
Choose Notifications
Allow or deny notifications
Firefox
If you tap on the lock icon next to the Infolio URL you may check if notifications are allowed as well as disable those if needed.
Once disabled it is possible to restore notifications by using the Firefox Page Info window.
Click on the arrow next to Connection Secure
Click on More Information
Navigate to Permission tab
Locate Notifications section and select needed permission level
